Purl Boho Dreamcatcher

GlitterandFrills

$ 35.99

This Boho Dreamcatcher is near and dear to my heart because I collected the yarn from Purl Soho in NYC while on a fun day trip with my Mom...such a good memory! I've begun to knit it into a scarf several times but never liked how it was turning out (because I needed just the perfect project for such awesome yarn ;) Now I have finally found what it's perfect for! I love the way it looks as a dreamcatcher...so whimsical and sweet.

Dreamcatchers are made by many Native American artists and people throughout the world, but they originated with the Ojibwe people. It is said that when a dream catcher is hung above the place where you sleep, it catches the dreams as they drift by. The good dreams, knowing their way, pass through the opening in the center of the webbing while the bad dreams, not knowing the way, are caught in the webbing and destroyed at the first light of the morning sun.

*Note: This dreamcatcher has sold and yours will be made when you order it, so it will vary just a bit. I will use some of the same (definitely the Purl Soho yarn ;) and some different frills and embellishments. If you want something specifically on this dreamcatcher, please convo me first and I'll let you know if that will be possible.

This wall hanging is wrapped with leather cord, strung with yummy beads and I've added feathers, sequins and a few baubles too.

The ring measures 5" in diameter with an additional 12 inches in frills and doodads, so about 17" in length total.
